Rev Nicholas Tuohy (Senior Pastor)
Before entering Christian ministry Nicholas was a professional chef for ten years. He completed a BTheol (Hons) and Adv Dip Min through Melbourne College of Divinity, and went on to receive a Grad Cert Arts (Theology) from Australian Catholic University. Having a love for good theology and good food, he has just completed an MPhil exploring the intersection between hospitality and spirituality. His primary gifting and calling is in the areas of preaching and teaching, creative arts and worship, and evangelism. Nicholas is married to Amanda.

Paul Pallot (Associate Pastor)
Paul grew up in Melbourne and studied Arts/Law at Melbourne University. Following that he worked as a lawyer for three years at Moores Legal in Box Hill, working primarily in Property Law and Family Law. Paul returned to study at Ridley theological training college, completing his Masters of Divinity in 2014. Paul is now commencing discernment for ordination with the Baptist Church in Victoria. Paul has been attending Kew Baptist Church since March 2012 when he moved into the Kew area.
In 2013, Paul served as NightChurch intern at KBC, and in 2014 as a part-time Associate Pastor for youth and young adults. His new role (2015) as an Associate Pastor sees Paul working more with the morning congregation and providing leader mentoring and training with the young adults, as well as preaching, welcoming, and overseeing small groups at Kew. Paul is passionate to see young people come to know Jesus and grow in their faith in him through prayer and study of the bible and loves to see young people take on their faith by serving God in a missional capacity.
Lauren first moved to Melbourne in 2008 to study a Bachelor of Music at The University of Melbourne. Since completing her degree, she has been working part-time in administration alongside her own freelance music projects.
Lauren commenced her role as Church Administrator in mid-2012, having already been a part of NightChurch since early 2011. This role was expanded to include oversight of the worship music ministry from 2014. She is currently completing a Grad Dip of Divinity through the Melbourne School of Theology. Lauren considers it a great privilege for her employment to be a direct ministry to the church and enjoys having the opportunity to further serve and contribute to the KBC community.
Khoi Doan (Vietnamese Senior Pastor)
Kew Student Residence
Stephen and Anouchka Chatelier commenced as managers of the Kew Student Residence in January 2013.
They, along with their sons, Malachi and Jude, and daughter, Eloise, live on-site and are readily available to chat with students, provide pastoral care and general support.
Stephen and Anouchka have many years of experience working with young people and were working as teachers before starting at the Res. They have spent time teaching in Brisbane, Kazakhstan and Melbourne. Most recently, Anouchka taught Religious Education in the Junior School at Methodist Ladies College and Stephen was the Director of Christian Foundations at Donvale Christian College.
Both Stephen and Anouchka enjoy reading, film and going to the theatre. Stephen wishes he could still play Aussie Rules but is content getting to as many Hawks games as possible. Anouchka loves to use the kitchen to prove that vegetarianism can be delicious.
The Chateliers love the diversity of the Res Manager role and having the opportunity to live out their faith in community.

Deacons are the elected leaders of the church, accountable to God and also to the wider congregation. They seek to lead and govern the church in line with our core beliefs and covenant. The Deacons provide spiritual oversight and leadership of the congregation in partnership with the pastor and ministry team.
