NightChurch News 1 Dec

THIS WEEK @ NIGHTCHURCH: We have the Kew Community Carols at Petrie Square (cnr Cotham Rd & Charles St, opposite Kew Library). There will be a community market from 6pm with stalls providing ethical options for Christmas gifts, as well as food stalls, a sausage sizzle and kids’ activities. The carols program will commence at 7.30pm. Please note that there will be no NightChurch service on this evening. Come to the carols instead! We would love you to help in any way you can – general setup, running the sausage sizzle, face-painting and kids’ activities, etc. Please talk to Nick or Laura about how you can get involved!

VIETNAM MISSION FUNDRAISING: Thanks to all those who have contributed to the fundraising for the 2014 Vietnam Mission Trip. $700 was raised at the trivia event last week, plus another $100 from the pizza night on Sunday – on top of the $1500 raised last Sunday at our church gathering and dinner. That’s $2300 in one week! Praise God for our generous church.

MISSION EXPOSURE: Considering a short-term mission exposure trip? KBC’s Global Mission Team strongly support mission exposure trips and would love to support you in your mission journey. We are a group of mission-minded people who are keen to:

•       hear about your plans

•       pray for you before, during and after your trip

•       provide you with extra training, resources and debriefing

•       help you keep the church and small groups informed about your trip

•       chip in to help cover your costs ($250 ‘scholarships’)

To find out more, download a copy of the Global Mission Team Exposure Trip Scholarships from the website (http://kewbaptist.org.au/global-concerns), or contact Nicholas Tuohy.

LOVE ABBOTSFORD: Love Abbotsford is back again for the fourth and final time for 2013! We’ll be heading down to the Housing flats on Hoddle Street to share Christ’s love for us by loving the residents there. We’ll host a free BBQ, have some live music, play soccer and basketball, and have some fun activities for the younger kids. Sunday 15 December from 12pm. Come along to get involved!

RED FROGS: Please be in prayer for those serving with Red Frogs at schoolies events this week.

RESOURCE CATALOGUE: If you’re looking for resources for your small group or for your personal study, check out what’s available from the KBC office: http://tinyurl.com/kfgjg2c.

PRAYER: There is prayer at the back of the church at 6.30 every Sunday night. We’d love you to join with us in this important ministry!

WEBSITE OF THE WEEK: Replay Radio available from http://tinyurl.com/prystt9 is a new Windows program that makes it easy to listen to a wide variety of online radio stations and podcasts. It costs $2.95 a month or $29.95 a year. (Prices are in US dollars).
