This Week @ NightChurch
We welcome guest speaker Kim Hammond from the BUV to share with us. Bree Monahan is leading the service, Stefan van Boxtel is organising the music team, Zach Moore and James Crawford are on audio/data, TBC will lead in prayer, Rachael Atkinson and Leonie Marshman will be providing supper, and Simon Pickering is convening. Thanks everyone.
Week of Prayer: 19-26 July
As we move into a new term on the calendar, we will once again have a designated “Week of Prayer” as a church. You are invited to sign up for the daily Prayer Breakfasts, as well as attend the Worship & Prayer Celebration Night. Of course, prayer is not an event or a program of the church – it is a high and primary calling. Regardless of whether you can make it to these events during this week, you are encouraged to let the week be a time of reviving and renewing your prayer before God.
- 19 July: Worship & Prayer Celebration Service (5:30pm NightChurch)
- 20-24 July: Prayer Breakfasts in The Lounge, 7-8am Monday-Friday (upstairs in the hall)

Prison Fellowship SLAM Soccer
SLAM Soccer (Sport Lights A Message) is about bringing the hope and light of the Gospel into some of the darkest and most forgotten parts of our society, using sport to communicate God’s love in a friendly and relaxed way. Our purpose is to build relationships with those in prison and ultimately point them towards Jesus. We are currently looking for more players to join our soccer team who are keen to share God’s love in a very real and practical way. Visits are held once a month on Saturdays and alternate each month between the different male prisons in the Melbourne region. Training is held at Mitcham Baptist on Monday evenings from 7:30-9:30. (Soccer experience/skill is not essential). Contact Josh Wilson.
A reminder that our Senior Pastor Nicholas Tuohy is currently on annual leave until 13 July, and our Associate Pastor Paul Pallot is on leave until 27 July.
Tuesday Prayer Breakfast
We run a weekly Prayer Breakfast on Tuesday mornings, 7-8am in The Lounge (upstairs in the hall). With winter here, we are serving porridge (delicious!) as part of breakfast – something to warm you up before you face the rest of the day. Don’t miss out! Remember you can also join our 5pm prayer gathering on Sundays before the service in the church building.

Please search carefully through the document to find your name wherever it appears and mark the dates in your diary. If you are unable to fulfil one of your roles, please arrange a swap with someone else on the roster, and then advise the church office of the change.
