THIS WEEK @ NIGHTCHURCH: Nicholas Tuohy will bring us the next message in our Gen-Ex sermon series, preaching on ‘Families in God’s Plan (Genesis 25-36)’. We will also share in communion together. Jadon Dutra is leading the service, Mat Hunter and Kate Steel are organising the music team, Phil Prior is on audio/data, Coby Docking will lead in prayer, Nat Constantin will be providing supper, and Marny Croot is convening. Thanks everyone.
DINNER AT ROX: Following the unprecedented success of our initial venture to ROX Café last month, we’re heading back there this Sunday 16 March after NightChurch for dinner. Come along for good food and good times! (245 High St, Kew).
KBC DISCIPLESHIP SEMINAR: Friday 28 March, 6-9pm (dinner included) and Saturday 29 March, 9am-3pm (lunch included) in the church hall. The Friday night session is aimed at anyone interested in discipleship in general (being discipled or discipling others). The Saturday session is specifically for those interested in discipling others. Cost will be $5 per day to cover food. For more information, please contact Kyle or Jane Horton.
BREAKY WITH THE BLOKES: Hey Gents, if you love food and sharing faith together, come and hang out with us for breakfast on Friday 21 March at 7am. We will be meeting at a café in the Camberwell area. Bring yourself and some money for breakfast. Call Luke Gibbons by 19 March if you’d like to come along.
HIGH TEA FOR T21: In association with Down Syndrome Victoria, Felicia Prior is hosting a morning tea to raise funds for those living with Down Syndrome. Friday 21 March, 10.30am at her house. Please bring along a sweet treat to share, and a generous spirit to raise funds and awareness for Down Syndrome. Thank you for your support!
HOSPITALITY LUNCHES: Sunday 30 March. This is such a great way to connect with people across 10am and NightChurch. If you are not signed up and would still like to be a part of it, please speak to Deirdre Willis.
CARRICAL BBQ: Once a month a team from KBC puts on a BBQ dinner at Carrical Rooming House in Hawthorn (18 Mason St) – they bring along some food and spend time with the guys there, getting to know them and forming relationships with people in our local community. The next BBQ is happening on Saturday 22 March. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Grace Loh.
PRAYER AND HEALING NIGHT: Wednesday 26 March, 7.30pm in the hall. This is a time to intentionally set aside time to seek God, open our lives to His Spirit, and pray for our world and each other. What will these nights look like?
- Biblical readings and teaching
- Worship and praise in song
- Corporate prayer
- Opportunity to receive prayer
REQUEST FOR DRUMKIT: Does anyone have sitting in their garage an old set of drums which they no longer use? Balwyn Baptist is starting a Kids’ Band, and needs a drum kit. It will be used by 11 year olds, so it doesn’t have to be expensive or flash. If someone has one and wants to be rid of it, could you call Grace Munro.
PRAYER: There is prayer at the back of the church at 5pm every Sunday. We’d love you to join with us in this important ministry!
That’s all for this edition of NightChurch News – Steve Pattison.
