THIS WEEK @ NIGHTCHURCH: We continue ourseries on 1 Thessalonians with Nicholas Tuohy preaching on ‘Being Disciples: Temptation and Trials (1 Thess 3)’. We will also share in communion together. Jadon Dutra is leading the service, Mat Hunter and Kate Steel are organising the music team, Tom Parkinson and Lachlan Hogan are on audio/data, James Docking will lead in prayer, Hannah O’Brien and James Hayes will be praying up the back, Marny Croot and Hannah O’Brien will be providing supper, and Kristy Chapman is convening. Thanks everyone.

We’ll also be heading to ROX Café for dinner after the service – everyone welcome!

CHURCH GATHERING & LUNCH: OnSunday 25 May, we will gather together after the 10am service to pray, share a meal, and seek God’s wisdom and guidance for our mission as a church. Please make it a priority to attend.

MAY MISSION PROJECT: As part of May Mission Month, we’re aiming to raise $5000 as a church to support a recycling project in South East Asia (further details here: (http://tinyurl.com/k4y6dxm). UNSHACKLED: TheUnshackled movement exists to help bring an end to human trafficking and slavery, and encourage personal commitment to pursue justice. May 12-15 is ‘Unshackled Week’, with a line-up of free events throughout the week. Still to come:

  • Walk Humbly (Wed 14 May) – Sex trafficking is actually taking place in our suburbs… but there is something you can do about it! Hear from those at the forefront of the fight in Melbourne.
  • Run With It (Thu 15 May) – A dynamic night of advocacy in action. All the hands-on help and interaction you need to make a difference in a world that needs your voice and effort!

MEN’S MUSTER: Talk it up boys!  The Muster is on again at King River Camp Cheshunt, May 23-25 and will again be a sensational weekend of Manly Pursuits (4 Wheel Drives/Bikes x3/Treks and more) with some stimulating fellowship and input. Jono Schroder is the speaker and his topic is: Real Men 1. GUILTY PLEASURE: Last Sunday night, Luke Gibbons shared with us about his work with the organisation ‘Guilty Pleasure’.Hereare the details for their upcoming event: “Grey Matters: How a porn saturated culture is affecting our brains”.
