NightChurch News 23 June

THIS WEEK @ NIGHTCHURCH: Nicholas Tuohy will bring us the next message in our Life with Jesus series, speaking on ‘Work and Vocation’. Matt Hill is leading the service, Grace Lawry is organising the music team, Dan Follent will lead in prayer, The House is convening, Luke Boswell and Timothy Mitchell are on audio/data, and Jacquie Johnson and Kate Steel are providing supper. Thanks everyone.

CHURCH CAMP: At the Deacons meeting last night we decided to go ahead with the church camp on July 12-14. There are enough expressions of interest to do so. Forms will be available this Sunday, so fill them in and pay ASAP. The camp will be a low-key and relaxing time. No official program but some things will arise, no doubt, in relation to activities, prayer and worship.

Situated just off the Great Ocean Road on the corner of Noble Street and Golf Links Road, the Camp is just 1.2 km from the Anglesea shopping centre, and a similar distance from the main surf beach; a safer beach for the younger children is 3km at Point Roadknight. Anglesea is located 112 km from Melbourne via Geelong, and is located along the Great Ocean Road. The Camp property covers approximately 6.5 hectares.

CHURCH KEYS: Please note that the new church office can still be opened with the main church key via the external office door. However the internal office door (which connects through to the main hall) is a separate key. If you need to access the office for photocopying etc, simply use the main church key through the external office door.

BORROW A GRANDCHILD: Borrow a Grandchild is a program with the intention for NightChurch members to be involved in the lives of some of the older members from our morning congregation. We are currently looking for a few more volunteers who are willing to either share a Sunday lunch with them, look after their gardening, help around the house or just hang out with them and hear some of their wisdom over a cuppa! It is not a full time commitment and is a great way to learn from others and enjoy the company of others in our church. Please contact Laura if you’re interested in being involved!
