CHURCH GATHERING & LUNCH: On Sunday 25 May, we will gather together after the 10am service to pray, share a meal, and seek God’s wisdom and guidance for our mission as a church. Please make it a priority to attend.

MAY MISSION PROJECT: As part of May Mission Month, we’re aiming to raise $5000 as a church to support a recycling project in South East Asia (further details here: http://tinyurl.com/k4y6dxm). You can give via direct transfer to the church account  with reference ‘May Project’, or in a marked envelope in the Sunday offering. Please give generously!

KEWMUNITY OF WOMEN: For the next girls’ event, we’re heading to St Hilary’s Church (12 John St, Kew) on Wednesday 21 May at 8pm to hear Melinda Tankard Reist speak on ‘The Sexualisation of Young People.’ Melinda is an author, speaker and columnist, well known for her work on the objectification of women and sexualisation of girls and efforts to address violence against women.

CARRICAL BBQ: Once a month a team from KBC puts on a BBQ dinner at Carrical Rooming House in Hawthorn (18 Mason St). The next BBQ is happening on Saturday 24 May. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Grace Loh.

‘UPPER ROOM’ – PRAYER & WORSHIP: Wednesday 28 May, 7.30pm in the hall. This is a time to intentionally set aside time to seek God, open our lives to His Spirit, and pray for our world and each other.

PRISON NETWORK MINISTRIES: Last Sunday night we heard about the work of Prison Network Ministries. If you would like to find out more, donate, or get involved, speak with Caz or Kez, and/or visit the PNM website: http://prisonnetwork.org.au.

GUILTY PLEASURE EVENT: “Grey Matters: How a porn saturated culture is affecting our brains”. Wednesday 11 June, 7-9pm at CrossCulture (333 Swanston St, Melbourne). Keynote speaker: Dr William Struthers. Cost: $5 per person. Men and women welcome. Register online: http://tinyurl.com/kyw33mh.

FOOD AFTER NIGHTCHURCH (FAN) CLUB: Matt Hill is still looking for people to join the FAN Club! All that is required of you is to put your name down to organise a place to go eat dinner after church one week – simply decide on a place to go, call them and tell them we’re coming, and then lead the masses on Sunday night! Contact Matt to sign up.

CHURCH OFFICE: A reminder that our office administrator is on annual leave from Friday 23 May – Monday 9 June. We have a roster of volunteers who will be assisting in the office over this time, checking phone messages and emails. However if you need to drop in at the office, it will be best to call ahead to ensure that someone will be there.

PRAYER: There is prayer at the back of the church at 5pm every Sunday. We’d love you to join with us in this important ministry!

That’s all for this edition of NightChurch News – Steve Pattison.
