THIS SUNDAY: Luke Gibbons is leading the service and guest speaker Mike Bassous will be sharing about ‘Mission in Lebanon & Syria.’ Corey Leslie is organising the music team, Zach Moore and James Hayes are on audio/data, Mel Hill is convening, Coby Docking will lead in prayer, and David and Mari Atkinson are providing supper. CHURCH GATHERING: This Sunday at 4.30pm in the hall we have an opportunity to gather as a church community and discern God’s leading for our future. This gathering will include a focus on praying, planning and reflecting on NightChurch for 2013 and beyond. Please plan to be there! There will be a sausage sizzle dinner provided afterwards.

CARRICAL BBQ: Once a month a team from KBC puts on a BBQ dinner at Carrical Rooming House in Hawthorn (18 Mason St) – they bring along some food and spend time with the guys there, getting to know them and forming relationships with people in our local community. The next BBQ is happening on Saturday 24 November. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Steve Taylor.

KEW COMMUNITY CAROLS: Sunday 2 December at Petrie Square (cnr Cotham Rd/Charles St). Sausage sizzle from 6.30pm, carols program and concert from 7.30pm. This is a community event organised by the local churches of Kew. Please note there will be no NightChurch service on this night – come along to the carols instead!

TRANSPORT REQUIRED: Someone is looking for a lift home to Armadale from NightChurch for the next couple of weeks. If you can help out, please contact the church office: info@kewbaptist.net.au.

ACCOMMODATION REQUEST: Female Christian looking for house/housemates in Melbourne. Please contact the church office if you know of any accommodation possibilities.

KARANA CHAPEL: Karana is an aged care community in Kew and every Sunday morning they have a chapel service at 10.30am. We are looking for volunteers to help take residents from their rooms to the chapel on Sunday mornings. If you are interested in helping out (either regularly or occasionally), please contact Laura Baker for more details.

ASYLUM SEEKER EDUCATIONAL WEBSITE FUNDRAISER: Dana Affleck, a past Res student, is organising a screening of ‘Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea’, followed by a Q&A time with Julian Burnside and Jessie Taylor on asylum seeker issues. The event is on Wednesday 28 November, 7.30pm at JT Auditorium, Methodist Ladies’ College (207 Barkers Rd, Kew). Tickets available from: www.trybooking.com/37361 ($25 adult, $18 concession).
