NightChurch News 27 January

THIS SUNDAY: Jono Davenport is leading the service as we continue our series on the book of James, with Jono Newmarch as our speaker. Grace Lawry is organising the music team, Phil Prior and James Hayes are on audio/data, and Ash Moore is providing supper. Thanks everyone.

KEWMUNITY OF WOMEN: The first girls’ gathering of the year is happening this Wednesday night (Jan 23) at 7pm, Alexandra Gardens (Cotham Rd, Kew) – A Garden Dessert Picnic. Bring picnic rugs, something dessert-ish to share, and most importantly – bring your friends!

LANSDOWN FAMILY: As a church community, we continue to pray for Dan Lansdown and his family at this difficult time. If you would like to offer financial support to the Lansdown family, you can transfer your gift into the church account – simply put ‘Lansdown gift’ in the transaction description.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Karana is an aged care community in Kew and every Sunday morning they have a chapel service at 10.30am. We are looking for volunteers to help take residents from their rooms to the chapel on Sunday mornings. If you are interested in helping out (either regularly or occasionally), please contact Laura Baker for more details.

RES WORKING BEE: Saturday 9 February at the Res, starting with breakfast at 8.30am. A great opportunity to serve the Res community and also get to know the new managers Stephen & Anouchka Chatelier. For catering purposes, please contact the Chateliers if you will be at the breakfast.

PRAYER:

  • Remember to be in prayer for Dan Lansdown, his mother Cheryl, and his siblings Sharayah, Rachel, Anna and Jonathan, as they grieve the loss of their father and husband.
  • Pray for Nicholas Tuohy and Sarah Trebilcock who are currently in India on a working mission trip.
