THIS WEEK @ NIGHTCHURCH: We kick off our series on Philippians, with Nicholas Tuohy preaching on Philippians 1 – ‘Joy & Mission for Life’. We will also share in communion together. FUNDRAISER – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Wise Choices for Life is holding a ‘Bling Fling Fundraiser’ on Saturday 26 October at Auburn Uniting Church, and some extra volunteers are needed to help out on the day. If you are interested in being involved, please contact James Docking. Wise Choices for Life is a ministry set up to empower Ugandans to break the poverty cycle, through reproductive health education and training (http://www.wisechoicesforlife.org).

CARRICAL BBQ: Once a month a team from KBC puts on a BBQ dinner at Carrical Rooming House in Hawthorn (18 Mason St) – they bring along some food and spend time with the guys there, getting to know them and forming relationships with people in our local community. The next BBQ is happening on Saturday 26 October. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Grace Loh.

SPORTS EQUIPMENT: The Camping Program is taking a team to Samoa at the end of November for their schoolies alternative camp (SAC’s) and would like to take over some sporting equipment to bless the two schools they visit. If anyone has access to cheap or donated sporting equipment, please contact thecampingprogram@gmail.com.

POSSUMS/CHURCH WORKING BEE: Saturday 26 October, 8am-12pm. Come along and lend a hand!

PREACHING CLASS: Nicholas Tuohy is running a Preaching Class on Sundays at 4.30-6pm in the Velvet Lounge, starting October 20 and finishing on November 10. Please contact Nicholas for further details.

NOW SHOWING: ‘Now Showing’ is a series looking at the key topics of Christianity. There will be short films made by members of the congregation as well as discussion led by Laura and Mat. The evenings will run fortnightly on Mondays at 7.30pm, held in the church hall. For more details please call Laura or Mat.
