NightChurch News, 28 June

THIS WEEK @ NIGHTCHURCH: Paul Pallot will continue our sermon series on the prophet Micah. Rachel Bakker is leading the service, Dave Powys is organising the music team, Stefan van Boxtel and James Crawford are on audio/data, Amy Hunter will lead in prayer, Marny Croot and Ben Ramsay will be available for prayer after the service, Leonie Marshman will be providing supper, and Marny Croot is convening. Thanks everyone.

This Sunday, Sam Taylor (our resident chef from The House), will be cooking up a storm – for breakfast and for dinner! Check out what’s in store:

  • Sammy’s Sunday Brekky 2.0

8:30-10am in the hall. Menu features:

  1. Corn Fritter, with raw beetroot relish, poached egg & green salad
  2. Ricotta Hotcake, with strawberry compote & vanilla labne
  3. Eggs (your way) and Bacon, with ‘Woodfrog’ toast & House made relish

$7.50 for a meal, $10 for a meal and a beverage (coffee or freshly squeezed orange juice). Please RSVP for catering purposes via Facebook (http://tinyurl.com/sammysbrekky).

  • Dinner at The House

After NightChurch, you are invited to dinner at The House. A great chance to continue conversations and fellowship with others from church over a delicious meal together! A $5 donation would be much appreciated to keep costs minimal. Everyone welcome!

STAFF LEAVE: A reminder that our Senior Pastor Nicholas Tuohy is currently on annual leave until 13 July. Our Associate Pastor Paul Pallot will also be on leave from 6 – 26 July.

MEN’S SOCCER: Players needed for a men’s soccer team working with Prison Fellowship. The purpose is to build relationships with those in prison through playing sport together and also having opportunities to share testimonies with the group. Training is on Monday nights in Mitcham and matches are once a month on a Saturday, rotating around different prisons. Contact Josh Wilson if you are interested in getting involved.

PRAYER: We run a weekly Prayer Breakfast on Tuesday mornings, 7-8am in The Lounge (upstairs in the hall). With winter here, we are serving porridge (delicious!) as part of breakfast – something to warm you up before you face the rest of the day. Don’t miss out! Remember you can also join our 5pm prayer gathering on Sundays before the service in the church building.

TITHING: A reminder that you can give your weekly offering via direct debit to the church account.

That’s all for this edition of NightChurch News – Steve Pattison.
