UNSHACKLED: The Unshackled movement exists to help bring an end to human trafficking and slavery, and encourage personal commitment to pursue justice. May 12-15 is ‘Unshackled Week’, with a line-up of free events throughout the week:

  • Rise to the Challenge (Mon 12 May) – Advocacy works. Learn how to raise your voice, use your pen and shape your thinking for the benefit of the poor and exploited.
  • Stand Firm (Tues 13 May) – A men’s only event. We will pose the question: How are men uniquely positioned to eliminate slavery and human trafficking?
  • Walk Humbly (Wed 14 May) – Sex trafficking is actually taking place in our suburbs… but there is something you can do about it! Hear from those at the forefront of the fight in Melbourne.
  • Run With It (Thu 15 May) – A dynamic night of advocacy in action. All the hands-on help and interaction you need to make a difference in a world that needs your voice and effort!

All events will be held at NewHope Baptist Church (3 Springfield Rd, Blackburn North), starting at 7.30pm. Free admission. More details at www.facebook.com/unshackling.
