SPECIAL CHURCH MEETING: As indicated at our last Church Gathering, several staff appointments were well underway at that time. The good news is that things have continued to progress well, and the Discernment Group and Nicholas are almost ready to present their recommendation to the Church. So we need to have a Church Gathering to discuss, and we expect to finalise, the appointment of an Associate Pastor (3 days a week), a Whitley Ministry Placement (2 days a week), and two interns from our own community. The meeting will be on Sunday 23 December after the morning service, around 11.30am. Please put it into your diary, pray about the meeting, particularly pray for the people involved, and plan to be at the meeting.
MISSION PRAYER: Remember to be in prayer for all those going on mission trips/camps over the summer – a detailed ‘prayer diary’ is available so you can pray for the various events as they happen!
CHURCH OFFICE HOURS: Please be advised that the church office will be closed for two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period (Monday 24 December – Friday 4 January). There will be no NightChurch News or Kew News during that time.
HANG OUT IN THE PARK: Amy Williams is moving to Echuca in January for work and would love to hang out with everyone before she goes. Come along to Alexandra Gardens in Kew this Sunday from 3.30pm onwards, bring food/drinks to share for picnic dinner, blanket, Frisbee etc. Everyone welcome!
HOUSEMATE WANTED: If you or someone you know is looking for a sweet deal of a house in the Mont Albert region and looking to move in in January next year, please contact Laura or Mike for more details.
ACCOMMODATION REQUEST: 21 year old male looking for accommodation. If you know of any accommodation possibilities, please contact the church office: email@example.com.
LOST: A precious gold bracelet with a heart shaped latch was lost at church on Sunday 2 December. Please hand in to office, or give to the Dukes if found.
‘PROCLAIM FREEDOM’ PETITION: Barnabas Fund is running a campaign that seeks to raise the profile of the persecuted Church around the world. The ‘Proclaim Freedom’ petition provides an opportunity to call our governments to pursue decisive policies aimed at putting pressures on states that persecute or condone the persecution of Christians and assisting other countries to improve the lot of minority groups within their borders. A copy of this petition will be available in the church foyer over the coming weeks – please consider signing.
WEBSITE OF THE WEEK: CrystalDiskInfo available from http://crystalmark.info/?lang=en is a free Windows program that provides information about the various disk drives in a computer. There are also some other free Windows programs on the home page.
