THIS WEEK @ NIGHTCHURCH: We kick off our next sermon series onthe parables of Jesus,withNicholas Tuohy preaching on ‘The Parable of the Weeds (Matthew 13:24-43)’. We will also share in communion together. Laura Baker is leading the service, Mat Hunter and Romona Boswell are organising the music team, Will Baird will lead in prayer, Deanna Nikodijevic and Jadon Dutra will be praying up the back, Zach Moore and Lachlan Hogan are on audio/data, Dan Kusnyer and Kate Steel will be providing supper, and Jordan Kube is convening.   • Urban Seed Trivia Night: Friday 18 July, 6.30pm at City Cite (Level 12/474 Flinders St). An evening with plenty of refreshments, a raffle, silent auction, and heaps of fun! Entry $10. Proceeds will help to fund Credo Café’s annual weekend away. More details:

  • Carrical BBQ: Saturday 26 July, 4.30pm at Carrical Rooming House (18 Mason St, Hawthorn). We really need some extra volunteers for this, so if you are interested in getting involved, please contact Grace Loh.
  • Faith Has Its Reasons: Saturday 9 August, 10am-4pm at Glen Waverley Anglican Church. Professor John Lennox, a leading Christian thinker, author and speaker, will deliver two keynote sessions on science and faith. There’s also a Q&A session with a panel of scientists and interactive workshops led by inspiring and thought-provoking experts. To register and see the full program, visit:
  • For The Love Of Niger II: Friday 15 August, 8pm at The Evelyn Hotel (Fitzroy). For TheLove Of Niger is back!! This year we have 26 students to send to school for the year in Niger – otherwise they’ll have to drop out. That’s $7,000 we need to raise, so get on board! Featuring Tuena; headline TBA.   • Concordis Chamber Choir: Saturday 2 August, 7.30pm at Scotch College. Lauren Morgan is part of Concordis, and this concert is particularly exciting as it includes the premiere of one of Lauren’s own compositions – a choral setting of Psalm 88, which she composed a few years ago.
