SPECIAL CHURCH MEETING: This Sunday there will be a special church meeting after the morning service. We will discuss and decide on the recommendation from the Discernment Group concerning the appointment of an Associate Pastor for Small Groups and Pastoral Care. Please pray about the meeting, particularly pray for the people involved, and plan to be at the meeting.

CHURCH OFFICE HOURS: The church office will be closed for two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period (Monday 24 December – Friday 4 January). There will be no NightChurch News or Kew News during that time.

GLORIA CAROLS: The Gloria Carols group will be doing some carol singing at the homes of some of our older church members on Saturday 22 December from 7pm. If you would like to join, please contact Mary-Anne Philip.

AUDIO INSTALL: Phil Prior is looking for volunteers to assist with the installation of new audio equipment in the church over January. The installation is scheduled for Monday 21 January – Saturday 26 January. If you can help out for just half a day, a whole day, or even the whole week, please let Phil know. Experience not essential – contact Phil if you would like to know more about what is involved.

‘PROCLAIM FREEDOM’ PETITION: Barnabas Fund is running a campaign that seeks to raise the profile of the persecuted Church around the world. The ‘Proclaim Freedom’ petition provides an opportunity to call our governments to pursue decisive policies aimed at putting pressures on states that persecute or condone the persecution of Christians and assisting other countries to improve the lot of minority groups within their borders. A copy of this petition will be available in the church foyer over the coming weeks – please consider signing.

WEBSITE OF THE WEEK: This week I thought I’d feature a video on YouTube called Bethlehemian Rhapsody which is a Christmas song and a very clever parody of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. You can watch it at
