NightChurch News, 25 January

THIS WEEK @ NIGHTCHURCH: We conclude our ‘Summer Screen Series’ with the final episode in the John Dickson ‘Life of Jesus’ series, focusing on the resurrection. Jono Davenport is leading the service, Lauren Morgan is organising the music team, Jane Horton will lead in prayer, Tim Mitchell and James Crawford are on audio/data, Leonie Marshman will be providing supper, and Rachel Bakker is convening. Thanks everyone.

KBC WEEK OF PRAYER: Monday 2 February – Sunday 8 February. Here are the options for the Week of Prayer:

  • Prayer Breakfasts: Mon 2 Feb to Fri 6 Feb, 7-8am in the new Lounge (upstairs in hall).
  • 24/7 Prayer Gathering: Sat 7 Feb at 8am to Sun 8 Feb 8am. New Lounge. You are invited to put your name down for 1 hour increments.
  • Prayer & Worship Evening: Wed 4 Feb, 7:30-9pm in the hall.

What we are asking is that everyone in our church commit to be present/participate in at least 1 event.

KBC LEADERSHIP SUMMIT: In continuing the work and progress made last year in cultivating greater unity, purpose and partnership across our church’s congregations and ministries, the annual Deacons/Leaders retreat is being turned into a Leadership Summit. We are calling leaders from our Ministry Team, Diaconate, Vietnamese Deacons, NightChurch Crew and Student Res Committee to come together for a day of prayer, strategic planning and fellowship. But by no means is it limited to only these people. If you have a desire to be part of this day, everyone is welcome.  Details:

Saturday 7 February, 8:45am – 4pm

RES WORKING BEE: At the start of another new year for the Res, we are having a Working Bee from 8:30am-12pm on Saturday 14 February, with morning tea at 10am. This will give us the opportunity to get together before the beginning of the academic year to prepare the Student Residence for the coming year.
