THIS WEEK @ NIGHTCHURCH: We continue our series of ‘Pew Preachers’ with Caitlyn Pryse and Jono Davenport preaching on ‘The Rich Man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19-31)’. Ben Ramsay is leading the service, Mike Follent is organising the music team, Mat Hunter will lead in prayer, Tim Mitchell and James Crawford are on audio/data, Crispin Newmarch will be providing supper, and Caitlyn Pryse is convening. Thanks everyone.
KEWMUNITY OF WOMEN: Wednesday 24 September, 7.30pm at the Doncaster house. That time, that place, there will be a meeting concerning this group of women. We want to start having regular get-togethers again because doing life with women from our community is important and awesome. The aim of this meeting is to get people who are interested in women’s ministry to come along and form a core group which will be involved in organising our Kewmunity of Women. If you feel like it’s something you would like to be involved in, come along and we can brainstorm, pray and eat. Consider it, think about it, and pray about it and then come to it. For more info, please contact Alice.
AFL GRAND FINAL SCREENING: Saturday 27 September, 2pm in the hall. Come along to watch the Grand Final on the big screen! BYO drinks and snacks. Bean bags and cushions would be great too!
WORKING BEE: Saturday 11 October, 8.30am-12.30pm. Whether you can come for half an hour or the whole time, every bit helps! We’d also love some people to help provide morning tea – if you can contribute, please contact the church office.
LOVE ABBOTSFORD: Sunday 12 October, 12-4pm at 229 Hoddle St, Collingwood. There will be sport, music, face painting, a BBQ, and it will be a chance to continue to build relationships with the people there. Please contact Mary-Anne Philip for more information.
KEW COMMUNITY CAROLS: Sunday 7 December. We need people to get involved – helping on the day with setting up, sausage sizzle, activities for kids, and other bits and pieces. Please see Phil Prior or Nicholas Tuohy if you want to get involved or you have some ideas for the day.
QUILT AND CRAFT EXPO: Saturday 4 October, 9am-3pm at One Community Church (184 Surrey Rd, Blackburn). A number of quilts and other handmade crafts will be on display (and available for purchase) including items by leading quilt designer, Michelle Yeo. $7.50 entry – with all proceeds supporting the work of Prison Network Ministries.
TITHING: A reminder that you can give your weekly offering via direct debit to the church account.
PRAYER: There is prayer at the back of the church at 5pm every Sunday. We’d love you to join with us in this important ministry!
