NightChurch News, 29 November

This Week @ NightChurch

Our Vietnamese congregation will be joining us for a combined baptism service. Luke Evans is organising the music team, Stefan van Boxtel and Anita Pallot are on audio/data, Amy Hunter will lead in prayer, Crispin Newmarch is providing supper, and Sam Taylor is convening. Thanks everyone.

This Week @ KBC:

  • Worship Jam Session: Wednesday 25 November, 7:30pm in the church. Bring your voices, your instruments, your favourite songs, whatever. We’re just going to hang out and make music to God! Everyone welcome.
  • For Your Consideration: Thursday 26 November, 6pm at The Ponds. Featuring talks from Andy Hunter and Natasha Moore. See here for more details:
  • Annual Church Gathering: Sunday 29 November, 11am in the hall. If you are a member of KBC, can you please make it a priority to be present? If you are an active attender or new person at KBC you are warmly invited and welcome to be present. We can’t celebrate the work of God, and we can’t discern the leading of the Holy Spirit without the body of Christ at KBC being present together. And please pray in the lead-up that we will have a wonderful time celebrating God’s work among us and that we can prayerfully discern God’s leading into 2016 and beyond.

Kew Community Carols by Candlelight

Sunday 6 December at Petrie Square (corner of Cotham Rd & Charles St, Kew). Come along for a night of fun, carols, and food! There will be a sausage sizzle from 6:30pm, and the official carols program will commence at 7:30pm. It will be a great night to hang out, have fun, and get into the spirit of Christmas with some festival carols. Invite your friends and family!

We also need some volunteers on the day to assist with setting up (4:30-6pm) and packing down (9-10pm). If you are available to help out, please sign up on the clipboards at church, or contact the office.

NightChurch Summer Retreat

From 11-13 December, the annual NightChurch Summer Retreat will be happening! It’ll be a low-key weekend away for anyone and everyone from NightChurch, somewhere in the bush, with an emphasis on low-cost accommodation, relaxation and good times. Please fill out this form to register your interest/availability:

2016 Global Exposure Trip

Kew Baptist Church will be leading a Global Exposure trip to South East Asia in 2016 (either July or September) to visit some of our supported cross-cultural mission workers. If you are interested in getting involved, or simply finding out more, please contact Paul Pallot: Initial expressions of interest are needed by the end of the year.

Mission Prayer Breakfast

We run a weekly Mission Prayer Breakfast on Tuesday mornings, 7-8am in The Lounge (upstairs in the hall). Come and share fellowship before you face the rest of your day! Remember you can also join our 5pm prayer gathering on Sundays before the service in the church building.

A reminder that you can give your offering via direct transfer to the church account.
