THIS SUNDAY: Dan Follent is leading the service as we have a night of ‘Worship Celebration and Reflection’. Corey Leslie is organising the music team, Kyle Horton will lead in prayer, Tom Holley and Phil Prior are on audio/data, residents of The House are providing supper and Laura Holley is convening. SPORTS CHAPLAINS NIGHT: Happening this Saturday night, 6.30pm in the church hall. Leading sports chaplains will be giving their insights into working with elite sportsmen and women. Featuring speakers from the AFL, Cricket Victoria and more! Dinner will be served and sports memorabilia auctioned. Funds raised will go toward the ministry of Leena Lavanya and ServeTrust. EXPLORING BAPTISM AND CHURCH MEMBERSHIP: Sundays @ 4.30-6pm, October 14, 21, 28. Have you ever wondered what baptism and church membership are all about? We would love to have you come along to find out a bit more. You don’t have to get baptised at the end of the course, and you can ask any questions you want! KEWMUNITY OF WOMEN: Weekly girls’ gathering, alternating Mon/Wed nights – an open space for the women of Kew to share what God is doing in their lives and also have a place away from Sunday nights to build relationships with one another. GUILTY PLEASURE is a charity focused on educating people about the harmful effects of pornography and connecting those who are addicted to it with professional help. Two events are coming up this Saturday:

  • Men’s Breakfast (8am) – Let’s talk turkey about porn with Dr Allan Meyer, author of ‘Good Man to Valiant Man’ and ex Porn Producer Donny Pauling. Hear personal testimonies about how men have overcome their struggles with lust. Cost $30 including breakfast.  Register online:
  • Meet an Ex Porn Producer (7.30pm) – How did a Pastor’s Son become a Porn Producer? Donny Pauling will share his story along with Dr Allan Meyer who will be talking about sexuality. 25 WORDS: For the month of October, Bible Society is running the Live Light in 25 Words campaign, aimed at encouraging and inspiring individuals to establish a daily habit of reading their Bibles (at least 25 words every day). DAYLIGHT SAVING Starts this Sunday 7 October. Clocks should be put forward one hour before going to bed on Saturday night to avoid any confusion on Sunday morning!
