I am husband of Kay, a father of four children and recently a grandfather of three wee gals in Bendigo. I am an addicted hockey player and voracious reader having a range of interests, from world history, to leadership issues, ethical issues and theology. I began as a pastor at the age of 26, beginning while at Ridley college for fourteen years and then taught full time at various Baptist colleges around the country finishing at MST in 2012. Since then, I have had assorted ‘stints’ as Principal at the SIL college in Kangaroo Ground and interim ministry at Kilsyth Baptists a couple of years back. I have enjoyed the various challenges in all these contexts. But a four-year stint at Corryong Baptist Church NE Vic was the making of me as a person and pastor in the late 1980s. What gets my adrenaline flowing is seeing the spontaneous glow in the eye of students or congregants when they encounter a fresh glimpse of our Lord through the preaching or teaching of God’s word or who are deepened by its world shaking implications.
