Kew Baptist Church is among the oldest surviving churches in Australia. Founded in 1856, it has a rich heritage and history of faith and service within the community of Kew and beyond. Kew has sent many of its members out to serve as Pastors and leaders in other churches and indeed all around the world. We see ourselves positioned in Melbourne as a resource not only for our local community but to the work of God’s Kingdom all over the world.
Our Mission is to help people say yes to Jesus at every point of their lives. We believe that discovering who your creator is, and what purpose He has for your life will bring peace, joy and fulfilment.
We believe that out of his great love for us, God sent his Son Jesus Christ who came to earth where he died on a cross and rose again so that we can be in direct relationship with God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – who forgives us and empowers us to experience free and hope-filled lives that increasingly reflect Jesus’ values and priorities.
For many of us, this truth has been foundational in our lives for some time, while others of us are just beginning to explore it, wondering what it all means, or grappling with its implications for us.
