Neighbourhood

Neighbourhood is a ministry of KBC, providing outreach to the local Community Housing Estates. 

Once a month on a Sunday, a large team of volunteers goes to the Harmsworth St Reserve in Collingwood. They throw themselves into serving the community in a number of practical and fun ways. This includes providing a free BBQ lunch which is shared with the residents, as well as children’s activities. Not only do the children get to enjoy many games of soccer, basketball and endless face and nail painting, but they also are provided with a listening ear and acceptance. It is also an opportunity for parents and adults to make meaningful relationships over a snag and to be served in practical ways.
