KBC provides financial and prayer support to around a dozen missionaries who serve in South East Asia, Africa and PNG.
In addition to this:
- Donations are made by the church to support people who are from Kew Baptist or associated with us in some way who are serving in two-thirds-world contexts. We also support Baptist organisations – Global Interaction (the mission arm of Australian Baptists), Baptist World Aid Australia, Baptist World Alliance.
- Fundraising events are held to assist in local and global ministries and missions.
- Young adults engage in short-term visits overseas to help development and mission agencies working in various parts of the world. They also take up placements in overseas locations as part of their training.
- The church tries to support people from Kew who serve overseas in secular or mission involvement through regular contact.
Mission Exposure
Considering a short-term mission exposure trip? KBC’s Global Mission Team strongly support mission exposure trips and would love to support you in your mission journey. We are a group of mission-minded people who are keen to:
• hear about your plans
• pray for you before, during and after your trip
• provide you with extra training, resources and debriefing
• help you keep the church and small groups informed about your trip
